On Thursday 6th April the Palau Robert in Barcelona will host the presentation of reWINE, addressed to all organizations related to the production, sale and consumption of wine bottles.
reWINE will require the help of consumers, companies, bars, restaurants, distributors and stores to carry out a pilot programme in reusing bottles and assessing its viability.
The presentation of the project will include the participation of Josep Maria Tost, Director of the Catalan Waste Agency (ARC), and Francisco Javier Lafuente, director of the UAB Research Park (PRUAB), who will be responsible for the opening of the event.
Then, Juan Fran Sangüesa, head of the Innovation Projects Unit of PRUAB and reWINE coordinator, will present the project and the activities to be carried out to demonstrate the viability of a sustainable system for the collection, cleaning and reuse of glass bottles in the wine sector in Catalonia.
Finally, Rosa Garcia, director of Rezero, and Marta Beltran, coordinator of Rezero, will explain the situation of reuse in Catalonia and the impact of the project in the wine sector.
